Credited with being one of the finest wine regions, the Hunter Valley claims to be one of Australia’s oldest wine producing areas.
Today, we'll travel via the region of the Hawkesbury River - one of the most picturesque rivers in Australia.
Enjoy a morning break with a coffee among the kangaroos and emu roaming free in the Australian Walkabout Wildlife Park
Then we'll visit up to 3 wineries. Not the large, impersonal factories that cater to big groups, but small, 5-star single vineyards.
While exploring the Hunter, we'll make sure to visit wineries in the different subregions - each with subtle differences in terroir, altitude and sights.
We'll choose from a wide range of quality wines and sample some of Australia’s best - Verdello, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and of course the best Shiraz and Semillon.
